Paul started creating pottery and tile after a career as a Swiss trained pastry chef and food technologist. Transitioning from the pastry arts to pottery was a natural transition as many of the techniques used in the pastry arts transferred easily to pottery and tile.
He has worked in porcelain, for tiles, stoneware and earthenware for pottery. The majority of Paul’s glazes are made from scratch. The garden inspired pottery uses glazes that crawl and run freely. Learning the way the glazes run and mix in the kiln has been a continuing adventure. 
He is influenced by the free forms and colors of Mexican street pottery. No two pieces are exactly the same and the individuality of the artist is celebrated. Paul enjoys making colorful pieces for the garden, from bird baths and bird houses to decorative garden pieces. Each piece is one of a kind and carefully hand crafted with intentionality.
